In general it is that time of year when we tend to reflect on our New Year’s resolutions, what our goals are for the next year, who we want to be, and what do we want to accomplish. But as we receive that tax notice in the mail alerting us of our taxes due that are due, it’s time to evaluate, are we getting the best use out of our property? That’s a great question. If you own vacant land that you’re not utilizing and you have property taxes that are due, is it finally time to sell?

If you happen to have a title company that you prefer, we’re happy to work with them as long as they can do business in the county where the property is located. Closing through Title allows you to be certain that you’re going to get paid. This is due to the fact that when closing through Title, we have to pay title first and then the title company will pay you directly, so there’s no concern about a check bouncing or you’re not getting paid for your property. Unlike some other investors, TB Properties Buys Land does not work with local notaries and we do not do self-close. It might take a little bit longer, three to four weeks through a title company, but at least you know for sure that you’re going to get paid and you know the paperwork’s going to be right.
